Thank you for visiting Health Hunter Online! Whether you are looking around for the first time, or you're one of our Premium members, this site is your avenue to the latest nutritional and orthomolecular information.
First and foremost, HHO is about education. The best way to combat illness and disease is to arm yourself with information about what it means to be healthy. Here at The Bright Spot for Health, our focus is to find the root causes of degenerative diseases rather than mask symptoms with the proverbial "Band-Aid." True healing comes from the core, and it is not something that can be covered up with prescription drugs or quick fixes. We recognize that we don't always have the answers, so we invite our patients at The Center to become co-learners on the quest toward health and wellness. With a vested interest in the research and discovery process, co-learners attain an abstract form of healing that is essential to fighting disease: hope.
In light of this outlook on health, one phrase that has become synonymous with our facility is "testing nutrient levels." This is, perhaps, the most valuable resource that we offer here because, many times, the imbalances in our bodies are a result of our low vitamin and nutrient levels. You can find out more about getting your levels tested by simply clicking on the "Beat The Odds" tab on the left-side menu bar.
One of our newer initiatives with Health Hunter Online is the institution of live streaming video or, in other words, the ability to watch The Center's on-site Lunch and Lectures live from the comfort of your own home. Also, within the video realm, we offer five new OnDemand lectures every two weeks and informational Beat The Odds videos.
If you have questions about streaming video, membership, or Health Hunter Online in general, click on the Contact Us tab or simply send an email to support@healthhunteronline.org stating your concern. Most importantly, we appreciate your interest in Health Hunter and The Center...your involvement with our progressive health facility is the first step in helping us spread a worldwide epidemic of health!
Sincerely,
Health Hunter Team

Center scientist Xiaolong Meng earns award for work on adult stem cells Team characterizes new type of stem cell
WICHITA, Scientists at the Bio-Communications Research Institute (BCRI), a division of The Center for the Improvement of Human Functioning International (CIHFI), received a prestigious award for a scientific article about its recent stem cell discovery. The scientific journal article entitled "Endometrial regenerative cells: A novel stem cell population" received BioMed Central's Research Article of the Year in Medicine Award sponsored by Microsoft Research. Dr. Xiaolong Meng, the lead author of the article and Associate Director of BCRI received the award at the Royal Society of Medicine in London England. The paper was published in November 2007 in the Journal of Translational Medicine.
BCRI led the research team, composed of U.S. and Canadian scientists who identified and characterized a new type of stem cell that can be reproducibly isolated from menstrual blood collected from healthy women.
"We are extremely proud of the international recognition our scientists and collaborators are receiving for the discovery of this new type of stem cell," said Dr. Neil Riordan, co-author and President of MediStem. "We believe that these adult stem cells, which we have termed endometrial regenerative cells (ERC), offer a novel alternative to embryonic stem cells which are fraught with scientific and ethical issues."
